we spotted this castle in the distance when we visited Smailholm Tower and decided to visit. It is free, and there is a small car park but be warned - do take a spare pair of boots There is sheep poo…Full review by Wendie M

Super ruined castle on the top of a hill with magnificent views all round. Easy parking for cars or, in our case, bikes and easy ascent to the castle which is very well kept.Full review by Mike S

This is a epic castle. It doesn’t look like a castle but still go because I had the time of my life. The view is fab too and watch your step because there are tons of sheep poo.Full review by Bibcay
