Although the New Orleans airport was mentioned, it does not seem that a ground stop took place in relation to it.  While the halt only latest for about an hour and a half, elected officials quickly took to social media to comment on the situation.

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary ground stop for arriving flights from certain cities into Austin.
