Ducks veteran goaltender John Gibson became the first netminder in franchise history to play 500 games, though he wants to try to focus on the present instead of looking back at his career or any milestones still ahead.

John Gibson made 26 saves to pick up the win in his 500th NHL game as the host Anaheim Ducks edged the Dallas Stars 2-1 on Tuesday night.

The Anaheim Ducks were ready to Croc and roll for John Gibson on Tuesday. Before their matchup against the Dallas Stars, the Ducks wore custom T-shirts and Crocs in honor of the veteran goalie's 500 th NHL game as they arrived at the Honda Center. Drawings of Gibson and the words “OC’s Finest” and “500 Games” were written on the shirts.
