A winter storm watch has been issued for the southern half of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, and parts of Wisconsin this weekend.
“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for [high-profile] vehicles,” the National Weather Service warns. “People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.”
Storms will move through Minnesota and rest of Midwest Today/Friday morning and again Saturday night into Sunday. The 1st Storm is a fast moving Clipper from Canada that will push Rain and Gusty Winds into the Twin Cities this Thursday afternoon.
