Designs were unveiled on Friday for a 250-foot (76-meter) arch in Washington sought by U.S. President Donald Trump that, if approved, ​would reshape the capital's monument-filled skyline.

Plans submitted by the Interior Department show the triumphal arch would be 250 feet tall, the tallest triumphal arch in the world.

The plans include a towering winged figure with a Lady Liberty-like torch and crown, flanked by two eagles and guarded by four lions, all gilded.
