Sir Paul McCartney caused a stir at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday as he joined a star-studded lineup of celebrities in the stands. The Beatles icon, 82, was spotted watching the game alongside the likes of actors Adam Sandler and Paul Rudd in a VIP suite at the Caesars Superdome.

The Beatles star was filmed sitting in a star-studded box that also included Paul Rudd and Adam Sandler. Nearby, Kevin Costner and Pete Davidson sat chatting as they watched the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., on Sunday, Feb. 9.

McCartney is also no stranger to New Orleans. He has performed and even recorded in the city several times over the years. He played with the Beatles in 1964 at City Park Stadium. More recently, he played at the Smoothie King center in 2016 for his "One on One" tour.

While he has sold out football stadiums for years, Paul McCartney is a fan of American football and reflected on his fandom ahead of Super Bowl 59.
