A Woodstock resident won $150,000 after matching four numbers and the Powerball with the Power Play option in the drawing Wednesday, March 5, the Georgia Lottery said. They bought the lucky ticket on the lottery’s mobile app. The player would’ve won $50,000 but spent an extra dollar on the multiplier option, tripling the winnings.

A break-in suspect robbed a Georgia homeowner of a few items — and grabbed a shower in the process, police said. The man remains on the run nearly a month after he’s accused of walking into an Atlanta-area home, taking a shower and stealing multiple items, including a house key, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

"The plaintiffs are contending that we should confer personal jurisdiction over a foreign company that merely mailed invoices to and communicated electronically with Georgia citizens," Georgia Court of Appeals Presiding Judge Stephen Dillard said.

On Monday Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth signed a memorandum to rename Fort Moore in Georgia as Fort Benning. Fort Moore was originally named for Lt. Gen. Harold Gregory Moore Jr., who fought in the Vietnam War and earned the Distinguished Service Cross for Valor.
