Jupiter Links secured their first victory of the season in the latest round of The Golf League, with Kevin Kisner and Tiger Woods on top form
It was a night to remember for Tiger Woods and Jupiter Links GC, as they secured their first ever TGL victory, after defeating Rory McIlroy's Boston Common at the Sofi Center
Homa then parred the par-5 9th to post a 5-over 41 for his opening nine holes at Torrey Pines — the worst 9-hole stretch of his PGA Tour career on the South Course.
(AP) Max Homa kept hearing from his coach ... wet conditions and a back-and-forth Sunday duel with Keegan Bradley, closing with a 2-under 68 for a two-shot victory in the Wells Fargo Championship.
Max Homa recently attempted to replicate the iconic swing of John Daly but admitted that he still has a long way to go to perfect it. He shared a picture of his practice session on Instagram.
Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club earned its first TGL win, edging Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf in overtime in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Four teams are now tied for first place in the new tech-infused golf league.
Woods' Jupiter Links GC and McIlroy's Boston Common Golf meet in Week 4 of TGL. The match, at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, starts on Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Joining Woods will be Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim, while Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley round out the three-man lineup for Boston. Woods, Kiz and Max Homa took a beating in their first match, losing to 12-1 versus Los Angeles.
With McIlroy's team set to play for the first time, and he and Woods going head-to-head in singles, TGL could be looking at its best night of the season.
So, for a moment, let’s treat this like a serious competition. Jupiter Links ran out Woods; Kevin Kisner, who struggled the last time he played two weeks ago; and Tom Kim, making his TGL debut. Boston Common featured McIlroy, Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley, major winners across the board.
Trust me, this is not a victory lap. It shows when you do the research and watch on-site—like I’ve done the past few weeks—you gain an advantage. TGL is an opportunity, and one we will continue to take advantage of for the next two months!
