Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy discussed efforts to achieve "sustainable fair, and comprehensive" peace in Ukraine, according to a joint statement published on Tuesday by the Saudi state news agency (SPA).

JEDDAH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating dialogue and supporting all efforts leading to a political solution to the Ukraine crisis during a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The prince wants Saudi Arabia to be a middleman in peace talks. Ukraine’s leader said they’d discussed “steps and conditions needed to end the war.”
