After months of pushback from parents and community members, the Fulton County Board of Education has voted to close Parklane and Spalding Drive elementary schools.

The school board voted 4-3 on Thursday night to close both Parklane Elementary School and Spalding Drive Elementary School.

Students and teachers began using the new 17,160-square-foot addition to Bradley East Elementary School on Jan. 27.
