A New Jersey police officer has been hailed a hero after jumping into frigid waters to save an 11-year-old boy who walked out onto a frozen pond and fell through.

A little boy is lucky to be alive after falling through the ice on a lake in Monmouth County, New Jersey on Monday.

Monday afternoon, a resident reported that an 11-year-old boy had fallen through the ice at Franklin Lake. West Long Branch Patrolman Dave Brosonski arrived to find the child stranded in the middle of the lake.

A New Jersey police officer sprang into action after a boy fell through the ice on a frozen lake. Officer David Brosonski used his knees to break through chunks of ice and rescue the child, who was taken to the hospitalized and is expected to be okay.

A nearby resident had some rope to make sure the officer did not go under while trying to grab the boy. That's what husbands are for. “This look is all about American exceptionalism,” she said of her pro-Trump ensemble on the Grammys red carpet.
