In their second major trade in four months, the Washington Commanders agreed to acquire former all-pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers for a 2025 fifth-round draft pick, two people with knowledge of the deal said Saturday night.

The 49ers agreed to trade Samuel to the Commanders for a fifth-round draft pick Saturday during the NFL Scouting Combine. Samuel, 29, announced during Super Bowl week that he had requested a trade.
