The Cincinnati Bengals are already making big roster moves by releasing a defensive tackle they signed in 2024.

The Bengals are entering a crucial offseason as wide receiver Tee Higgins could hit free agency, while Pro Bowlers Ja’Marr Chase and Trey Hendrickson are both prime candidates to receive long-term contract extensions to be paid among the best at their respective positions.

Rankins played in seven games last season for the Bengals and recorded just one sack. He was an expected cut after limited production in his first season in Cincinnati. Rankins missed majority of the season with an undisclosed injury that landed him on the reserve/non-football illness list.
