The biggest season 8 highlight revealed today is the return of the fan-favorite Diablo 3 boss, Belial, otherwise known as the Lord of Lies, otherwise known as the freaky dragon-looking boss fight that happens during the final quest of Diablo 3's third act - you know, the one that probably wrecked you so hard that you had to lower the difficulty.

"Belial is back in Sanctuary," Diablo 4 lead season designer Deric Nuñez said during the livestream. "He is climbing his way to the top of the lair boss ladder. He is the new exalted, pinnacle challenge within the ladder. He is the highest challenge, the highest reward."

Diablo 4 Season 8 is arriving on April 29, bringing a boss-centric theme with exciting new content. Players will face three new bosses, including the iconic Belial from Diablo 3, who returns as both a pinnacle boss and in a special ambush form.

Diablo 4 reveals new Unique items and Legendary Aspects coming in Season 8, giving players even more build possibilities for their characters.
