Another band of snow is expected to hit the Baltimore area Tuesday with schools and businesses preparing for potentially hazardous conditions.

Farther north, lesser amounts are expected but nearly 100% of the state is forecast to receive accumulating snow. You can expect most locations along and south of I-70 to have hazardous travel during the peak of the storm from late Tuesday through Wednesday morning until crews have a chance to clear and treat roads.

Today's weather will be quiet and chilly. Snow will accumulate several inches Tuesday afternoon into the night.

Chief meteorologist Tom Tasselmyer said that snow will begin across the region shortly after noon. However, the heaviest will fall overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The first round of precipitation will be out by early Wednesday morning before a round of rain comes in Wednesday evening.
