Original Saturday Night Live star Dan Aykroyd has addressed his notable absence from the star-studded SNL 50 anniversary event on Sunday, February 16. “Advantage of not attending – got to see every second of concert and show on TV,” Aykroyd, 72, wrote via X on Wednesday, February 19.

“Saturday Night Live” will celebrate 50 years of live comedy with the three-hour “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” on Sunday, Feb. 16, but there won’t be a new episode of “SNL” on Saturday, Feb. 8, or Saturday, Feb. 15.
