Openers Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Matthews led Mumbai Indians to their second Women's Premier League final as their power-packed knocks laid the cornerstone for the team's 47-run win over Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator at the Brabourne Stadium on Thursday (March 13).

In the WPL 2025 semi-final match against Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Giants skipper Ashleigh Gardner won the toss and elected to bowl first. The winner of the semi-final will clash against Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2025 final on March 15.

Gujarat Giants got off to this very horrifying start when all-rounder Deandra Dottin – who has been clinical for the side with bat and ball – injured her left knee ahead of the game. It was the start of several things to go wrong for the franchise as it succumbed to a 47-run loss against Mumbai Indians in the Women’s Premier League Eliminator at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
