Itamar Ben-Gvir (Hebrew: אִיתָמָר בֶּן גְּבִיר [itaˈmaʁ benˈgviʁ]; born 6 May 1976) is an Israeli far-right politician and lawyer who served as the Minister of National Security from 2022 until 2025. [2] He and his party left the government on 19 January 2025 in protest of the Israeli–Palestinian prisoner exchange. [3] His resignation went into effect after 48 hours. [4]
