"Gresley's Triumphant Return" After an absence of 7 years off the mainline, Gresley A4 No.4498 'Sir Nigel Gresley' made its comeback railtour in the Northwest of England. Starting out from Crewe the tour would head for Carlisle via the famous Settle and Carlisle Railway and then return down the West Coast mainline. We managed to capture this tour in four locations throughout the day. Carrying Wartime black livery, this would be it's only tour in this colour before being repainted into BR Blue. A
