Parotid Gland Function
The facial nerve is intimately associated with the parotid gland. Most parotid tumors, benign and malignant alike, currently require surgical management leaving the facial nerve at significant risk. This is a patient with a very large parotid tumor, who was treated as an outpatient by my talented head and neck surgery colleague @babaklarianmd and myself to ensure complete removal through hidden incisions while preserving smile function as well as create an aesthetic symmetry of the face. 😊💯 #p
