Here is the latest First Alert Doppler Radar Loop for East Texas. The rain is moving N to NE at 20-25 mph. Some lightning and thunder is occurring in these areas. Wind may gusts from 30-40 mph in the heavier thundershowers. Please be aware that lightning can strike up to 15 miles away from a thunderstorm, so, if you see lightning and hear thunder, please go indoors as the storm is close enough for lightning to strike where you are. More coming up on East Texas News at 4, plus you can go to kltv.

Here's a radar loop starting at 1:55pm this afternoon and ends of 6:08pm. You can see the activity starting in Eastern KS and was heading to the East-Southeast. When the complex got into Southwest MO it started intensifying and began "turning to the right". This is a common sign that thunderstorm complexes are getting stronger. Another term we use for this type of thing is "surging". By the end of the loop the complex is seen going due South! The complex was so strong that it created remnant win
