On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, our units responded to a residential fire in the 300 block of Byron Avenue East, Mobile, Alabama, after a quick-thinking passerby called 911 upon noticing smoke. Engine 22 arrived swiftly, and our team immediately began fire suppression efforts. During the primary search, we were able to rescue a black lab named Greta J from inside the home. Paramedics provided oxygen to Greta J until her caretakers could take her to the vet. Thanks to the alertness of the community
